About the Brand

An Odisena subsite, built for provenance.

♾️ - Library of Alexandria -♾️ is the book-and-archive framing of the Odisena Imprint. It is additive tooling on top of an already-ratified structure — not a new legal entity by default, not a rename of Odisena, and not a modification of any Odisena governance artifact. Legacy names are preserved only in the Legacy Names & Migration note.

Brand Relationship

Where the Library of Alexandria sits

Odisena is the parent operator identity. Its doctrine names Substrate C · Creative Works · Odisena Imprint (Cluster 18) as the authoring surface for creative output across music, books, film, and visual art. ♾️ - Library of Alexandria -♾️ is the Odisena subsite/brand that specifically catalogs book-shaped and serial/chronicle-shaped works and their provenance — distinct from the music-album lineage also living under Substrate C.

This brand does not create a new legal entity by default, does not rename Substrate C, and does not modify any Odisena governance artifact.

Any future decision to make the Library of Alexandria legally distinct — a separate entity or a separate trademark — is a matter for the counsel-review gate, not something decided here.

Roles & Gate Ownership

Six hats, often one person

Roles are separated so that each editorial gate has a named function — even when a single person fills several. The point: no hat-change silently skips a gate.

Publisher

Final call on catalog entry, status, and gate advancement. Owns GATE-4 (Publication Lock).

Structural Editor

Reviews chapter order, register, and speculative labeling. Owns GATE-2 (Structural Edit).

Provenance Archivist

Verifies every claim traces to a real inspected source; maintains snapshots and the correction log. Owns GATE-1 (Intake).

Rights & Provenance Counsel-Liaison

Prepares rights questions for outside counsel and tracks the counsel-review gate. Owns GATE-3. Does not give legal advice.

Intake Coordinator

Runs export intake end to end: collection, dedupe, verification, quarantine-or-admit. Pre-GATE-1.

DNS / Ops Owner

Owns the site's domain/DNS architecture and any live change, mirroring Odisena's DNS-change discipline. The brand is served at libraryofalexandria.store, an Odisena-operated host.

Explicitly Out of Scope

What this framework does not do

  • — Does not form a separate legal entity for the Library of Alexandria by default.
  • — Does not register a trademark, ISBN, or copyright for any work.
  • — Publishes at the Odisena-operated domain libraryofalexandria.store; the editorial framework makes no unilateral DNS changes outside Odisena's DNS-change discipline.
  • — Does not modify any Odisena Substrate C governance artifact.
  • — Does not read affiliation as finality: no work is publication-locked, and no work beyond its own verified axes is claimed complete.
  • — Does not give legal advice anywhere. Rights questions route to the counsel-review gate.

How legacy names are handled

  1. The canonical current name is used everywhere current-facing: navigation, footer, metadata, and structured data.
  2. Legacy brand names are preserved only in this labeled note, and verbatim inside a source's own historical text (e.g. a colophon or copyright line) as provenance evidence.
  3. Historical colophons — such as “Winfield Chronicles · An Odisena Imprint · Publisher's Copy” on the combined editions — are quoted exactly and never silently rewritten.
  4. The “Winfield Publishing” copyright-line inconsistency in The Last Cookie is a rights flag: preserved, not resolved, and routed to the counsel-review gate.
  5. The brand is served at the Odisena-operated domain libraryofalexandria.store; any further domain or DNS change follows Odisena's preflight DNS discipline.
