Fifty-four holdings from the Haskell Family Archive, spanning 1907–2026 — shown here as fictionalized illustrated renderings, so that no real photograph of a real person is published. The Living Chronicle narrates Winfield Haskell, a declared fiction — and the archive’s oldest holding is a 1907 portrait filed under that very name in Houlton, Maine. Each rendering is generated from the archive’s written captions alone; the photographic originals stay private, and every caption still traces to the archive’s own filenames and folders.

Every scene below is a fictionalized illustrated rendering, generated from the archive’s written captions alone — never from the photographs themselves — so no rendering carries a real person’s likeness. The photographic originals remain private; the archive path printed beneath each frame names the private original the rendering is after. Six holdings in Wing III are the chronicler’s own artwork and design boards — already fictional imagery — and are shown as photographed. Personal names in captions, titles, and archive paths are pseudonyms — the true filing survives only in the private archive. One holding appears in the archive twice (2012 and 2013); it is shown once and both filings are declared.
